Her father, Prodyut Kumar Mukherjee, served at Bokaro Steel Plant, while her mother, Kalyani Mukherjee, was a revered homoeopathy consultant in Bokaro. Arundhati completed her schooling at St. Xavier’s School, Bokaro.
