New agreement addresses the challenge of unpaid overseas invoices and helps exporters explore recovery options through specialist support.
NEW DELHI, India: Indiamanthan Publications and Media Private Limited has entered into an agreement with Switzerland-based M.A.H. International Corporation to help Indian exporters explore recovery options when overseas customers fail to pay their invoices on time.
The agreement was signed by Shrikant Pandey, Managing Director and Founder of Indiamanthan Publications and Media Private Limited, and M. Amendra-Hauser, President and CEO of M.A.H. International Corporation.
Overdue export payments can place businesses under pressure even after they have completed their contractual obligations. Exporters may have already committed funds to production, procurement, logistics and delivery, leaving them dependent on the buyer to release payment within the agreed period.
When payments remain outstanding, businesses may have to divert time and resources towards follow-ups, negotiations and attempts to establish when the money will arrive. Repeated delays can affect cash flow and make it difficult to plan inventory, settle supplier bills or finance the next order.
For exporters dealing with customers in unfamiliar markets, deciding how to pursue an unpaid invoice can be especially difficult. Businesses may not know whether to continue negotiating, seek specialist assistance or consider other recovery options.
A Route to Assess Unpaid Export Invoices
The agreement provides Indian exporters with a way to approach Indiamanthan and explore a connection with M.A.H. International Corporation for an assessment of overdue receivables.
The process can be relevant to businesses whose buyers have missed payment deadlines, stopped responding to reminders or repeatedly postponed settlement. It may also be worth exploring for exporters who completed transactions without export credit insurance.
An exporter does not necessarily lose the ability to explore recovery options simply because a transaction was uninsured. Whether a particular invoice can be pursued depends on the available records, contractual terms, buyer circumstances and other case-specific factors.
Businesses may be asked to provide invoices, purchase orders or contracts, delivery and shipping records, payment terms and correspondence with the buyer. The assessment will help determine whether the case may be suitable for further action.
How the No Collection, No Fee Approach Works
For businesses already waiting for money owed to them, the cost of recovery can be a deciding factor. A No Collection, No Fee model links collection fees to successful recovery, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
For eligible cases, this allows businesses to explore professional recovery support without committing to a standard collection fee regardless of the outcome. Exporters should confirm the specific terms and eligibility requirements before proceeding.
The arrangement does not guarantee recovery, and the appropriate course of action will depend on the circumstances of each invoice.
